AP+E designs for better neighbourhoods
AP+E deploys design research across two continents. In Cairo, the studio works together with CLUSTER and René Boer on utility vehicles tailored to the city's informal neighbourhoods. This project, Decoding the Informal City, is supported through the Internationalisation of the Design Sector Grant Scheme via the Open Call Resilient Communities / Inclusive Cities / Just Societies. In Haarlem, AP+E launched a living lab in the Boerhavewijk together with Studio dmau, where residents and designers collaborate on a sustainable and inclusive future for the neighbourhood. Living Lab Boerhavewijk is supported through the Spatial Design Action Programme.
