obligations

If you receive a subsidy from the Creative Industries Fund NL, you also enter into obligations. This page will tell you what is expected of you in that respect.

written approval for changes

We award grants based on the plan as described in the application. If your project or programme is carried out differently, you must first ask for written approval. Changes that have not been submitted to the Fund in writing beforehand may result in the grant contribution being withdrawn and paid advances being reclaimed.

accountability

Once your project is completed, you submit an accountability report to the Fund. Two weeks before the end date of your project, you will receive an e-mail about the accountability form you need to fill in. At that moment, the form is available on the dashboard in the application platform.

The extent of your accountability is determined by the amount of the grant:

  • For a grant amount up to and including € 10,000, you do not have to submit any accountability.
  • For a grant amount of € 10,001 to € 25,000, you answer three short questions about your project on the form. In random spot checks, we may also ask questions about the impact of your project, and may ask for a financial report.
  • For a grant amount of € 25,001 to € 125,000, you answer brief questions about your project and its impact, and attach a financial report.
  • For a grant amount of € 125,001 or more, you answer brief questions about your project and its impact, and attach a financial report, auditor’s statement and a substantive report.

A sample accountability form can be viewed here (in Dutch).

The Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme, the Creative Industry Activities Programme Grant Scheme and the Talent Development Grant Scheme work with a different method of interim or final accountability. You can read more about this in the relevant grant scheme.

irregularities or fraud

If the Fund receives indications that irregularities have occurred within a subsidised project, or if there is a suspicion of fraud, the Fund will carry out an audit of the project administration. The grant recipient is obliged to cooperate with this. The detection of irregularities may result in a reduction, withdrawal, or claw back of the subsidy. In the event of proven fraud, a report will be filed with the authorities.

mentioning the Fund

Always mention that your project or programme was made possible with a grant from the Creative Industries Fund NL. Name the Fund in your final products (publications, documentaries and websites) and in communications about projects or programmes (e.g. press releases, advertisements, catalogues, correspondence and invitations). If you include logos in your final product, or communications about the final product, make sure the logo of the Fund is one of them. You can download the logo here.

invitations

If you are organising a presentation of your project or programme, such as an exhibition or performance, please notify the Fund in good time. Invite the advisory committee members and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well. The official notification you receive will list the addresses to which you should send these invitations.
