Stimuleringsfonds at Dutch Design Week 2024
Dutch Design Week is taking place in Eindhoven from 19 to 27 October 2024. The Creative Industries Fund NL is in attendance there in different forms. The Fund is presenting two exhibitions: Stimuleringsfonds presents talent and Innovationlabs #2: The growing archive.
stimuleringsfonds presents talent
Each year, emerging design talents in the fields of design, architecture, and digital culture are given the opportunity to fully develop both artistically and professionally through the Talent Development Grant Scheme of the Creative Industries Fund NL. The grant provides them with the time and resources to build a strong foundation for a distinctive and meaningful career within the creative industry. It offers the space for creators to flourish, while allowing them to explore and delve deeper into significant themes in their work. Moreover, they can invest in lasting relationships, both within their discipline and the broader creative industry, as well as in other sectors. Dutch Design Week serves as a vital platform for showcasing this growth.

innovationlabs #2: the growing archive
In the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven, the heart of Dutch Design Week 2024, the Creative Industries Fund and CLICKNL present Innovationlabs #2: The growing archive. The exhibition shows the harvest from the second edition of Innovationlabs, a programme in which innovative ideas for the cultural and creative sector are researched, tested and improved.
Visitors will be introduced to 17 diverse projects that have been supported by the programme: an advanced archiving system for cultural institutions, for instance, and a forecasting model for theatre-makers, programmers and marketers to make considered choices in theatre programming and marketing. Special attention will be paid to the findings of a team of researchers who followed and supported the 17 initiatives in their innovation processes.
Part of the exhibition space is set up as an open lab. Here, visitors can engage with makers, test innovations or help initiatives to validate ideas.
Both exhibitions, including their programmes, offer a unique perspective on the future of the creative industry in the Netherlands and are a must-see for anyone interested in innovation and design.
