Innovationlabs #2: The growing archive

What can we do to make the cultural and creative sector agile and resilient in the long term? That is the question that makers, cultural institutions and other creative parties tackled in the Innovationlabs programme. During Dutch Design Week (DDW), from 19 to 27 October 2024 in Eindhoven, the Creative Industries Fund NL and CLICKNL will jointly present the outcomes of the second edition.

exhibition

The exhibition Innovationlabs #2: The growing archive will introduce you to 17 diverse projects that have been supported by the programme: an advanced archiving system for cultural institutions, for instance, and a forecasting model for theatre-makers, programmers and marketers to make considered choices in theatre programming and marketing.

The exhibition highlights the findings of researchers from various knowledge institutions who have followed and supported the seventeen initiatives throughout their innovation process. Their insights are summarised in five roadmaps, which visitors can use to navigate through the exhibition.

Would you like to contribute to the growing archive of insights and applicable knowledge for the future cultural and creative sector? If so, visit the open lab in the exhibition. Here, visitors can engage with makers, test innovations or help initiatives to validate ideas. Test a smart rubbish bin that separates waste by itself, learn about new technologies such as augmented or virtual reality, or contribute to scientific research into the effects of live music on our well-being.
