Each year, we present the work of emerging makers who have been supported through the Talent Development Grant Scheme at Dutch Design Week. On Saturday October 19, at 5:00 PM, the exhibition Stimuleringsfonds presents talent will be officially opened at the Portiersloge on Strijp-S.
We warmly invite you to the opening! Doors will open at 4:30 PM and the event will start at 5:00 PM. The programme features an interactive Q&A with director Syb Groeneveld, moderated by Isabel Sheridan. This is followed by a special performance by one of the featured talents, fashion designer Tessa van den Eeden. Drawing inspiration from our inner world, Van den Eeden uses couture to shed light on often difficult-to-discuss topics related to mental health.
The program will last approximately half an hour, followed by drinks until 7:00 PM. Attendance is free, but we kindly request that you register in advance.
Every year, emerging design talents active in the fields of design, architecture and digital culture are given the opportunity to develop themselves optimally in artistic and professional terms, thanks to a grant from the Creative Industries Fund NL. The grant gives them time to lay a good foundation for a distinctive and meaningful practice within the creative industries. They are given space to develop themselves as makers and to explore and deepen important themes in their work. They can also invest in lasting relationships, within their own field and the creative industry, and beyond. And precisely in this respect, the Dutch Design Week is an important platform for them.
