La-di-da explores the building materials of the future

Material research plays a central role in the architectural practice of La-di-da. Laura van Santen and Diederik de Koning are driven by a curiosity about the origin and properties of materials whose applicability in contemporary construction has yet to be proven, but shows great promise. They explore, for example, the possibilities of recycled glass and glaze, as well as the longevity of timber in foundations. To do so, they collaborate with workshops where a wealth of technical expertise is available.
