Three international residencies

Would you like to go abroad for a period to work on a project? We are currently offering three international residencies for designers and makers. The residencies at Think Tanger (Morocco), Videotage (Hong Kong) and Jatiwangi art Factory (Indonesia) give makers the opportunity to conduct research, broaden their network and develop new work. You can apply until 11 June 17:00 CEST.

Jatiwangi art Factory (Indonesia)

In rural Jatisura, Indonesia, two residencies of two months each are being offered at the artistic collective Jatiwangi art Factory (JaF). Designers, architects and spatial practitioners can choose from two periods: March–April or October–December 2026. The focus is on research into the transformation of landscape and social structures, with emphasis on 'Kota Terrakota' (Terracotta City) or 'Kerja Tanah' (Earthwork). The grant amount is € 4,500.

Videotage (Hong Kong)

At media art institution Videotage in Hong Kong, a residency is being offered for designers, makers or thinkers in the field of digital culture. Selected applicants will explore the concept of liminal space – transitional situations between the familiar and the unknown – and develop work focused on social and urban dynamics. The residency lasts two or three months (24 March – 19 May or 24 March – 16 June 2026), with a grant of € 5,000 or € 6,500 respectively.

Think Tanger (Marokko)

In collaboration with the Mondriaan Fund, the Creative Industries Fund NL is offering one residency at cultural platform Think Tanger. For two months in the summer of 2026 (5 May – 5 July), a designer, architect or spatial practitioner will have the opportunity to work in Tangier on research and development with a focus on design, urbanism and socio-spatial aspects. The grant amount is € 5,500.

For all residencies, applications can be submitted until 11 June 2025 (17.00 CEST) through the application platform. Applications will be assessed on artistic quality, quality of the proposed project, and motivation in relation to the goals of the residency.

For more information about the residencies, you can contact the Internationalisation team via internationalisering@stimuleringsfonds.nl or +31(0)10-4361600.
