In recent months, new committee members have started at the Design, Architecture, Digital Culture, Design Sector Internationalisation, Talent Development and Artistic & Design Research for Immersive Experiences Grant Schemes. At the end of 2024, the Creative Industries Fund NL distributed a vacancy. We asked makers, designers, researchers, observers or teachers with knowledge of one of these work areas of the fund to apply. The new advisers strengthen the various advisory committees with their expertise. They will remain appointed for a minimum of one to a maximum of four years.

Advisory committee

At the Creative Industries Fund NL, each advisory committee consists of a chair and a pool of advisers, each with expertise within the creative industry. The committee members advise on the content-related and qualitative value of the grant applications in the light of the Fund's grant schemes and objectives. This advice is presented to the Board, which then takes the decision on whether to award a subsidy. New advisers are recruited every year to replace those who have reached their maximum term.

Selection

There were a total of 88 responses to the vacancy. All the responses were submitted to an independent external selection committee that recommended candidates to the Board. The selection committee consisted of Pien Houthoff (chair), Yassine Salihine, Ebru Aydin, Barbara Kuit and Kitty Leering. When filling the requested profiles, consideration was given to expertise, diversity, complementarity and specific specialisms within the various committees.

New advisers

As of 2025, the following advisers have been appointed to the various grant schemes:

Design: Anouk Beckers, Iris Hagel, Arthur Herrman, Maringe Oomkes, Remco Polman, Tejo Remy, Erico Smit. Bao Yao Fei (previously an adviser) is now chair.
Architecture: Jan-Willem Baijense, Andrea Fitskie, Shendy Gardin, Nadia Jellouli-Guachati, Art Kallen, Rashid Rashidi, Joanna Stegenga, Henk Tiegelaar
Digital culture: Wilja Jurg (chair), Marijn Bril, Alanay Çekiç, Hay Kranen
Design Sector Internationalisation: Kris Dittel (chair), Nikita Hurkmans, Elif Ozbay, Adriana Pereira

For the Creative Industries Kick-start Grant Scheme, which was launched this year, a committee has been formed of advisers who were already active for the fund.
