International Vouchers – 20 vouchers awarded for activities abroad
Grants were awarded to 2 applicants during the second International Vouchers grant period in 2026. This voucher scheme enables design, architecture and/or digital culture professionals to make a presentation or conduct an activity abroad.

The 20 activities supported take place in 13 countries across Europe, Asia and Africa. Most applications concerned activities in Europe and included lectures, presentations, workshops, exhibitions, conferences and international exchange programmes. This contributes to strengthening international practice, knowledge exchange and collaboration.
About the grant scheme
International Vouchers is a grant scheme aimed at Netherlands-based professionals in the fields of design, architecture and/or digital culture who have, for example, been invited by a foreign party to give a presentation, lecture or workshop. To qualify for a voucher, applicants must have submitted an application to the Fund that received a positive assessment within the past five years. The Fund uses this grant scheme to increase the impact of existing projects and projects it has previously supported.
Assessment
The International Vouchers procedure is low-threshold and geared towards quick processing. Applications were processed continually and evaluated internally by the Fund with regard to the following points:
- The applicant submitted an application to the Creative Industries Fund NL in the past five years that received a positive assessment
- The applicant has received a written, motivated invitation from a foreign party
- The inviting foreign party covers a proportionate part of the costs incurred in carrying out the activity abroad
- The application explains how the objective and set-up of the activity abroad contribute to the applicant’s professional practice.

Numbers
A budget of € 33,449 was available for this grant period. This amount consisted of € 33,000 for Period 2, supplemented by € 449 remaining from the first grant period.
The maximum contribution per application depends on the location of the activity and amounts to € 1,500 within Europe or € 2,500 outside Europe.
The total amount awarded to the 20 activities supported was € 33,420.
Follow-up
The third International Vouchers grant period opens on 8 September 2026 at 15:00 CEST and closes once 30 complete applications have been submitted or, at the latest, on 27 October 2026 at 16:00 CEST. A budget of € 33,000 is available for this period, supplemented by the budget remaining from the second grant period.
