International Vouchers – 17 vouchers awarded for activities abroad
In the first period of International Vouchers in 2026, 17 applications were awarded grants. This voucher scheme enables professionals in the fields of design, architecture and/or digital culture to realise a presentation or activity abroad.
The 17 supported activities are taking place in a diverse group of countries, spread across Asia, Europe and North America. Most applications were submitted for activities on the Asian continent. This demonstrates a strong interest from Asia in international collaboration and exchange with Dutch professionals. The activities range from lectures, individual presentations and workshops to exhibitions and participation in conferences. In this way, they contribute to strengthening international practice and collaboration.
about the grant scheme
International Vouchers is a Creative Industries Fund NL grant scheme, aimed at Netherlands-based professionals in the fields of design, architecture and/or digital culture who have been invited by a foreign party to give a presentation, lecture or workshop, for example. The grant is intended as a contribution to the costs of an activity abroad, such as reimbursement for hours, travel and accommodation costs directly related to the activity. With the grant scheme, the Fund aims to increase the impact of existing projects (and projects previously supported by the Fund)
assessment
The International Vouchers procedure is low-threshold and geared towards quick processing. Applications were processed on a rolling basis and evaluated internally by the Fund on the following points:
- The applicant has been positively assessed by the Creative Industries Fund NL in the past five years;
- The applicant has a written motivated invitation from a foreign party;
- The inviting foreign party covers a proportionate part of the costs to be incurred in carrying out the foreign activity;
- The activity abroad contributes to the applicant's professional practice.
