Open: Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme

The Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2025-2028 is open. Through this scheme, the Fund supports four-year programmes of cultural institutions that contribute to the high quality, development and professionalization of the creative industry.

The new Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2025-2028 opened on 1 December 2023 and closes on 1 February 2024 by 5 p.m. CET. In terms of planning and form, the procedure will run in the same way as the cultural BIS 2025-2028 where possible. This will make it easier to submit an application to both schemes. Only cultural institutions that meet the threshold may submit an application to the Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2025-2028.

threshold

Cultural institutions meet the threshold if they have been supported within the cultural Basic Infrastructure (BIS) in the 2021-2024 policy period, or if they have received a positive advice during this policy period within one of the following Creative Industries Fund NL schemes:
- Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2021-2024;
- 1- and 2-year Activities Programme Grant Scheme (concerning the 2021-2022 period);
- 1- and 2-year Activities Programme Grant Scheme 2023-2024.
With the threshold, the Fund wants to safeguard the balance between the continuity of institutions that are supported now, on the one hand and offering scope to new parties for long-term support on the other. With the threshold, the Fund wants to create a realistic perspective for all institutions that submit an application.

two categories

The new scheme has two categories:
- Category I is meant for cultural institutions that implement an extensive activities programme within the creative industry on a level comparable to institutions that are part of the BIS. Institutions in this category must be nationally prominent within the disciplines of design, architecture or digital culture and have a programme of international significance. The maximum amount that can be applied for in category I is € 275,000 to € 550,000 per calendar year.
- Category II is meant for cultural institutions that implement an activities programme within the creative industry. Institutions in this category have national significance within the disciplines of design, architecture or digital culture. The maximum amount that can be applied for in category II is € 125,000 to € 275,000.00 per calendar year.
