New: Activities Programme Grant Scheme 2025-2026
The Fund is launching a new grant scheme for cultural institutions that contribute to the quality, development and professionalization of the creative industry in the Kingdom with an activities programme. Through the grant scheme, the Fund offers cultural institutions a two-year subsidy. Applications for activities programmes to be implemented in 2025-2026 can be submitted until 3 September 2024 at the latest.
innovation and experimentation
The Activities Programme Grant Scheme for creative industries is the second important grant scheme for institutions in the creative industry for the period 2025-2028, after the Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for creative industries. Unlike the Four-Year Institutional Grant Scheme, the focus is not on the institution itself, but on the activities programme. The grant scheme is intended for applications from cultural institutions that contribute to the quality, development and professionalization of the Dutch contemporary creative industry by means of a two-year activities programme, and that relate to design, architecture, digital culture or a crossover between these fields, based on their core task.
Executive director Syb Groeneveld: ‘With a budget of € 3.7 million for two years, we expect to be able to support approximately 18 institutions. Regional distribution based on the five parts of the country plus the Caribbean part of the Kingdom is the key factor. Together with the more than 20 design institutions supported via the basic cultural infrastructure (bis) and by the Fund, with the outcomes of this grant scheme we are realizing a diverse national infrastructure for design, architecture, digital culture and interdisciplinary work within which there is also room for innovation and experimentation.’
two rounds
This new grant scheme is replacing the 1 and 2-year activities programme for creative industries grant scheme 2023-2024 and will have two rounds in the period 2025-2028: one for activities programmes being implemented in 2025-2026 and a second for activities programmes being implemented in 2027-2028. Institutions can apply for up to € 125,000 per year.
closing date
Applications for activities programmes to be implemented in 2025-2026 can be submitted via the application environment until 3 September 2024 at the latest. An English translation of the scheme will be published soon. When the outcome of this grant scheme is known – at the end of 2024 – the picture of the cultural institutions supported by the Creative Industries Fund NL for multiple years will also be complete. The selection of the Four-year Institutional Grant Scheme for creative industries 2025-2028 was announced on 3 July 2024.
