what is the objective of this call

Think Tanger is a cultural platform dedicated to research and exploring urban challenges in and around the city of Tangiers. As a platform, Think Tanger questions and sheds a light on the current social and spatial effects of the city’s development through design, visual art, craft, participative research and urban design projects. In addition, Think Tanger organizes and facilitates workshops, lectures, open studios, exhibitions, podcasts and residencies.

In collaboration with the Creative Industries Fund NL and the Mondriaan Fund, this residency was set up to stimulate crossovers and experiments, to initiate exchanges and to learn from each other’s perspectives, knowledge and ideas. The work periods at Think Tanger offer designers and artists the opportunity to carry out research, to expand their network and to develop their own work, with the intersection between design, urban space, urbanism and socio-spatial issues being central.
