Colour with Fungi

Synthetic textile dyes are one of the fashion industry's most pressing problems. They pollute waterways, consume vast amounts of water and energy, and pose serious health risks. With the project Kleuren met schimmels (Colour with Fungi), Fabulous Fungi (designer Ilse Kremer) is exploring a cleaner alternative: textile dyes made from fungi. Fabulous Fungi is working on this project with circular hub BlueCity, fungus specialist Bio-aNAlytiX from Biezen, and sustainable sportswear brand Iron Roots.
