New Interdisciplinary Grant Scheme
Are you a maker whose practice is not confined to a single discipline, and would you like to further develop your interdisciplinary practice? Or are you part of an organisation seeking funding for a project focused on integrating different disciplines? If so, you may be eligible for the new Interdisciplinary Grant offered by the national cultural funds.
This grant is a collaboration between the Mondriaan Fund, Netherlands Film Fund, Performing Arts Fund NL, Dutch Foundation for Literature, Fund for Cultural Participation and Creative Industries Fund NL. Through this grant, the six national cultural funds aim to support professional makers and organisations so that their work is better aligned with the funds’ programmes.
All applications must be submitted through the Mondriaan Fund website and application system. The advisory committee consists of members with expertise across all disciplines.
For whom?
The Interdisciplinary Grant consists of two tracks:
- For individual makers based in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom with at least 1 year of demonstrable professional interdisciplinary practice: a fixed contribution of € 24,900 is available to further develop their interdisciplinary practice over a period of 1 year.
- For non-profit cultural organisations with legal personality, based in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, that develop projects in which artistic disciplines supported by multiple funds are integrated. The contribution depends on the total project budget: a fixed contribution of € 12,500 is available for a project with a budget of € 15,000 to € 60,000, and a fixed contribution of € 50,000 for a project with a budget of € 60,000 to € 500,000.
How and when to apply?
Applications for the Interdisciplinary Grant can be submitted twice a year via the Mondriaan Fund's website, where you'll also find full details on the conditions and process. The first deadline is Thursday, 1 October 2026, before 16:00 (Dutch time zone) / 10:00 (Caribbean time zone).
