Open Call Salone del Mobile 2023

The Salone del Mobile in Milan is the perfect place for product and furniture designers to present themselves internationally. Every year, the fair and all the surrounding presentations in the city attract many professionals from the international design world, looking for the latest developments within the field.

With this open call, the Fund aims to present the exemplary talent of the Dutch design sector in Milan and to increase the visibility of the Dutch creative industry internationally. In addition, the support aims to exchange knowledge and experiences gained and to build and maintain sustainable international relationships.

This open call is open to professional designers, makers and design agencies working in the fields of design, architecture, digital culture or the crossovers between them.

This open call is open to proposals for presentations including research results, objects, installations or workshops. The type of presentation is not set in stone.

No grant can be applied:
- for presentations at the Salone del Mobile 2023 that have already been supported through the Fund as part of a project;
- by applicants who during Salone del Mobile 2023 receive support from the Fund via the Talent Development Grant Scheme for drawing up a development plan.

Applications are assessed on the basis of the Open Call Salone del Mobile 2023, which describes the reason and objective, criteria and procedures.

Open Call Grant Scheme
Applications are assessed on the basis of the Open Call Grant Scheme, which describes the general conditions, grounds for rejection, manner of publication, submission procedure, assessment, the award and any grant obligations.

Applications are assessed on the basis of the Open Call Salone del Mobile 2023 and the Open Call Grant Scheme.

acceptance
When you have submitted your application, the Fund Desk will check if your application complies with the formal requirements of the Open Call Grant Scheme.

assessment
An independent advisory committee will assess your application on the basis of the Open Call Grant Scheme and the Open Call Salone del Mobile 2023. The committee advises the Fund’s Board.

tender
The assessment of the open call takes the form of a tender: this means that within the available budget, a number of proposals are chosen above the others. Only positively assessed applications will be supported.

decision
The Board takes account of the committee's advice in its decision on the rejection or provision of the grant. You will be notified about the result in a decision.

accountability
If you receive a grant from the Fund, then you will have to comply with the obligations. Two weeks before the conclusion of your project, you will be asked by email to submit your accountability form in the application environment.
