For festivals with an important public function that contribute to increasing interest in design, architecture and digital culture and stimulate their development.
This scheme is open to (non-profit) cultural institutions or organisations that organise festivals with an important public function within the context of the Dutch creative industry, namely in the fields of design, architecture and/or digital culture.
This scheme is intended for the preparation, organisation and implementation of festivals that contribute to increasing the public reach and interest in and development of the creative industry, namely in the fields of design, architecture and/or digital culture.
The festival must take place in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom and have an audience strategy aimed at reaching at least one thousand physical visitors per edition. This requirement does not apply to festivals in the Caribbean region.
The applicant indicates in the application within which region grant funding is requested. This is the region within which the main activity of the festival takes place.
To prepare your application, it is important to gather information from the following documents:
The Creative Industries Festivals Grant Scheme Manual provides guidance and tips for preparing a grant application. Based on this, you can compile as complete an application as possible.
Use the Format budget, funding plan and explanation to provide a realistic overview of the costs and revenues required to run the festival. To properly assess these, it is important to include an explanation of the budget in the template. Also include co-financing (at least 20%), applicable to costs specifically incurred for the program(section) focused on the creative industry.
The assessment of applications takes place on the basis of the Creative Industries Festivals Grant Scheme. This describes the conditions, criteria and objectives.
Do you have specific questions about your project proposal or this scheme? You can submit your question to the scheme staff via email.
Applications are assessed by the advisory committee of this scheme. This is done on the basis of the Creative Industries Festivals Grant Scheme.
The assessment criteria are explained in article 13 of the Creative Industries Festivals Grant Scheme.
When you have submitted your application, the fund office checks the application against the formal requirements of the Creative Industries Festivals Grant Scheme
An independent advisory committee assesses your application based on the Creative Industries Festivals Grant Scheme. Within each region, the two highest valued, positively assessed applications are eligible for grants. The committee provides advice to the board of the Fund.
Based on the advice of the committee, the board will decide whether to award a grant. Applicants will be informed of this outcome in a decision letter.
If you receive a grant from the Fund, you also accept obligations. Two weeks before completing your project, you will receive an email request to submit your accountability via the application environment.
