The Voices of Nandimul X (revision) | Tivon Rice

Tivon Rice participates in GLOBAL CONTROL, the 3rd Open Fields conference in the framework of the RIXC Art Science Festival 2018. He presents his project “The Voices of Nandimul X” and is part of a panel discussion. The project “The Voices of Nandimul X” creatively explores a Machine Learning system, being trained to emulate the voice of science fiction author J.G. Ballard. The language model describes images of mysterious landscapes and hallucinates about Ballards artistic style, recalling his many critiques of modernism. The conference is taking place in the National Library of Latvia between 13 and 15 September 2018.
