Talent Development Grant Scheme2025
amount_issued: € 25.000

Teresa Fernández-Pello graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2022 in Contextual Design (MA). Fernández Pello connects high-tech with the mystical, using computer technologies and microchips to do so. She explores whether new forms of mysticism can contribute to slower, more balanced perspectives in the digital world.

In her development year, Fernández-Pello is looking at microchips as design objects, and exploring the patterns and layers of materials. To do this, she is collaborating with Stephan Wesveen of TU Eindhoven’s Design Research Group. Fernández-Pello is also researching craft traditions, such as etching and engraving, at Make Eindhoven and Crafts Council. In this way, she aims to reinterpret the aesthetics of microchips and develop new applications for contemporary chip manufacturing.

At the end of the development year, Fernández-Pello will create installations and collectibles in which her experiments take tangible form. She will present these at, for example, Collectible Design Fair, ADORNO and APOC Store.
