Slavic Phantasmagoria. Orphanage of Meaning. | Sonia Górecka

During the Salone del Mobile 2024, multimedia designer Sonia Górecka will present the immersive installation Slavic Phantasmagoria. Orphanage of Meaning., consisting of a carpet, moving and inscribed bricks and a soundscape. The materials represent, and symbolize, a house and the foundation for future Slavic generations. The installation reflects the ongoing restlessness in Slavic countries and showcases ancient Slavic folklore. The designer invites the public to interact with the installation, to create an exchange of knowledge about spatial justice, identity and a contemporary redefinition of what ‘Slavic’ is.
