Queer, Folks | Marco Loi

During the Salone del Mobile 2024, designer Marco Loi will present the Queer, Folks project. The project explores the relationship between rural geography and queer identity by using hand-woven tapestries that utilize the local Sardinian ‘pibiones’ technique. The designer deploys the act of weaving as a political tool and presents it to increase queer visibility and representation. Queer, Folks contributes to the exploration of habitable landscapes and resonates the question ‘Who's in the wrong place?’ to create more awareness that absolutely no place is wrong or unsuitable for the existence of diverse bodies
