Talent Development Grant Scheme2025
amount_issued: € 25.000

Mathild Clerc-Verhoeven is a textile designer who graduated from the Sandberg Institute (MA F for Fact) in 2023. Clerc-Verhoeven’s work is characterised by playful experiments at the intersection of printing and clothes-making. During the development year, she will expand her technical skills with 3D weaving on a manual loom.

Clerc-Verhoeven is combining individual experimental phases with various collaborations in the development year. First, she will be working with the Textile Museum in Tilburg, which provides support through a programme for designers who are hacking old manual looms. She will also spend six weeks at textile residency Lottozero for research into three-dimensional weaving. Finally, Clerc-Verhoeven is collaborating with Dasha Golova for a presentation of work, and with graphic designer Theodora Jacobs to translate the research process into a publication.
