Living Earth | Sonic Acts

From January to May 2018 Sonic Acts is organizing the programme Living Earth, a sequel to the research trajectory Dark Ecology that took place in the Barents region from 2014-2016. The programme has a three-pronged aim: to enhance the visibility of the creatives involved in the Dark Ecology project, give greater depth to the generated discourse, and share the acquired knowledge with the Russian and Norwegian public. To this end Sonic Acts is collaborating with SALT in Oslo (Norway), Bergen Kunsthall (Norway), Terminal B in Kirkenes (Norway) and the Inversia Festival in Murmansk (Russia). Dutch creatives involved include Femke Herregraven, Joost Rekveld, Martijn van Boven & Gert-Jan Prins, Rosa Menkman, Justin Bennett, BJ Nilsen, Raviv Ganchrow and Ester Urlus. Their work will be presented in various forms and activities including exhibitions, presentations, audiovisual live performances, screenings and a workshop.
