Kyrsten Rasmijn | Kyrsten Rasmijn
Kyrsten Rasmijn was selected through the Open Call Emerging Design Practices ABCSSS. As founder of Kokolishi, she has been developing scarves and other products inspired by Curaçao and its inhabitants for six years. Together with her husband, she runs a shop and has built a strong creative community under the name Hopi Love Club.
Rasmijn wants to expand the Hopi Love Club into an educational programme where young people aged 15 to 18 can explore their creativity. The programme guides participants through the entire creative process: from finding their vision to producing, branding and presenting their own scarf design.
During the development year, Rasmijn will work with Recent Co. for branding and receive guidance from Tessa of Store Projects. In addition, she is taking courses in 3D fashion design and shoe design herself. The aim of the development year is to establish a separate educational foundation for sustainable growth of creative programmes on Curaçao.
