Information Smuggling | Augustina Lavickaite

During the Salone del Mobile 2024, designer Augustina Lavickaite will present the video installation Information Smuggling at BASE Milano. In the project, Lavickaite examines the illegal dissemination and publication of information as acts of resistance against Russian repression and cultural exchange in Lithuania. With the video installation, the designer takes the viewer to a forested area, located on the border of Lithuania, Belarus, Poland and Kaliningrad, that is historically relevant within the context of information smuggling and significant for contemporary politics.
