New period Experiment Grant Scheme
A new period of the Experiment Grant Scheme opens on 15 February 2023. Are you a designer or maker active in the field of design, architecture or digital culture, or the crossovers between these fields, and do you have an idea for an experimental research project? If so, check to see if your project is eligible for a grant under the Experiment Grant Scheme.
Under the Experiment Grant Scheme, you can apply for a grant of up to € 10,000 for small-scale experiment-driven research projects. The new period, with a grant ceiling of € 250,000, runs from 15 February to 31 May 2023 at the latest. Once the period is open, continuous applications can be made. The period stays open until the closing date, provided there is still sufficient budget.
important to know beforehand
If you want to apply, keep these four points in particular in mind:
- It is important to make it clear in your application what the basic principle of the experiment is. What research question do you want to work on?
- Provide insight into the set-up of the experiment as well. What steps are you going to take and what method will you employ to arrive at an answer to your research question?
- The total project budget may not exceed € 10,000. This íncludes any co-financing or own resources. Make sure that all time and resources involved, including any co-financing, are listed and quantified in the budget.
- You can submit your application from 4½ months and up to 6 weeks before the start of the project. The maximum duration of your project is one year.
