who is this scheme intended for?

This scheme is open for cultural institutions and organizations that organise special public programmes in the field of design, architecture, digital culture or the crossovers between them, such as festivals, exhibitions and events.

which projects are eligible for a grant?

The grant scheme is intended for the preparation, organization and implementation of festivals and public presentations that contribute to a wider audience reach and which increase and deepen interest in the creative industry.

The festival or presentation must take place in the Netherlands or the Dutch Caribbean and have an audience strategy in place that focuses on reaching at least a thousand physical visitors.

smaller festivals and public presentations

This grant scheme is aimed at large-scale public events. Smaller, more field-specific festivals and presentations or makers who are invited by a festival to create new work can apply to the Design, Architecture or Digital Culture grant schemes.

Festivals and Public Presentations Grant Scheme

Applications are assessed on the basis of the Festivals and Public Presentations Grant Scheme for the Creative Industry 2023–2024. This states the conditions, criteria and objectives.

do you have any specific questions?

Do you have any specific questions about your project plan? You can submit a concept to the staff of this scheme no later than two weeks before the closing date via e-mail.

what is assessed?

Applications are assessed by this scheme's advisory committee. This is done on the basis of the Festivals and Public Presentations Grant Scheme 2023–2024.

assessment criteria

- contribution to public interest in the creative industry
- substantive significance for the creative industry
- effectiveness in setup, public strategy and level of support
- contribution to diversity and inclusion within the field of of the creative industry

what happens to your application?

acceptance

When you have submitted your application, the Fund Desk will check if your application complies with the formal requirements of the Festivals and Public Presentations Grant Scheme.

assessment

An independent advisory committee will assess your application on the basis of the Festivals and Public Presentations Grant Scheme. The committee advises the Fund's Board.

prioritization

If the total amount requested in the applications eligible for funding exceeds the budget available for that particular grant round, prioritization will take place.

decision

The Board takes account of the committee's advice in its decision on the rejection or provision of the grant. You will be notified about the result in a decision.

accountability

If you receive a grant from the Fund, then you will have to comply with the obligations. Two weeks before the conclusion of your project, you will be asked by email to submit your accountability form in the application environment.
